Wiltshire Council adopts core strategy

Today the Wiltshire core strategy was formally adopted by the council. This is a 12-year blue print for sustainable development in the county. It has taken over five years to develop and means that now more than ever we need a strong local champion to ensure that the interest of our towns and villages come first.

I am standing to be our next MP to act as this Champion. Given the planned housing development it is crucial that our local businesses are supported and new businesses attracted into the area. We need to create more local jobs otherwise we will wither into dormitory towns and lose our strong sense of community spirit. The level of volunteering, charities and community organisations is something to be proud of and to be preserved as the county evolves. Read more about the core strategy HERE.
