Below are the facts – which is why I am proud to be standing to be your next Member of Parliament for the Conservative Party. I come from a humble background, a family that taught me to work hard and seize opportunities. Even though I did have some things quite tough, I also had opportunities – not everyone has these but my local aim and that of my party is to open more doors and create more opportunities, by giving you chances and more money in your pocket and more control over your own life.

Cost of living:

  • Cancelled Labour’s fuel duty rises, saving £11 per tank
  • Mortgage rates & prices kept low
  • Bringing energy prices down

Health and Social Care:

  • Capped care home fees
  • Recruited 1,000s more doctors, nurses and midwives
  • Better maternity & post-natal support

Women’s and Children’s Safety:

  • Violent crime down by 23%
  • Better help for rape victims
  • New Internet controls introduced

Work and Home:

  • 15 hours free childcare for 3 and 4 year olds
  • Free childcare for 2 year olds for lower income families
  • New rights for shared parental leave & flexible working

Education:

  • 1m more children taught in good or outstanding schools
  • Increased Pupil Premium to help disadvantaged children
  • 200,000 new places in schools set up by communities

Cutting Taxes:

  • 12,000,000 women paying less taxes
  • 1.5 million women taken out of income tax altogether
