I strongly support Devizes’ Member of Parliament Claire Perry’s campaign for “opt in” on internet porn.

Recently, a cross party group of MPs and Peers set up an inquiry into Online Child Protection. They have published a report concluding that Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and Government need to do more to keep children safe online.

I firmly believe that the group are right and I think we should have an “opt in” not an “opt out” of adult content.

The Prime Minister also backs this and ISPs are beginning to act. One example is TalkTalk who have announced that “opt in” will be standard and other ISPs are looking to follow.

It is important that we keep applying pressure on the Internet Service Providers to see “opt in” introduced as the standard.
