To help tackle the backlog and free up GP appointments, we have changed the rules so that we can all now get treatment for seven common conditions from our local pharmacies 
. Across Wiltshire, Somerset, Swindon and Bath & North East Somerset, 139 pharmacies, such as D&M Gompels Pharmacy, have singed up to treat seven common conditions.
We are massively expanding pharmacy services so that they will be able to assess and treat patients for: sinusitis, sore throat, earache, infected insect bite, impetigo, shingles, and urinary tract infections in women - without the need for a GP appointment or prescription 
The major expansion of pharmacy services gives us all more choice in when and how we can access care and will help free up 10 million GP appointments a year.
