Last Friday afternoon I joined Ashley Truluck, chair and Vicky Hickey and Fiona Oliver, joint interim CEOs of Wiltshire Community Foundation on a teams call. 
I wanted to congratulate the team on their absolutely incredible fundraising efforts since the beginning of the pandemic, they have raised £1.1 million to distribute to Wiltshire charities, especially those adversely affected by the pandemic and those helping others affected by the pandemic.
Funds have been donated by local businesses, individuals and some national fundraising. I look forward to lobbying central government to assist Wiltshire Community Foundation and I urge those interested to check out their website and see where you can help.
Massive thank you and well done to everyone who made donations – it is just another example of the amazing community spirit here in Wiltshire.
The Chippenham constituency has benefited from 27 grants so far amounting to over £100,000 which is absolutely brilliant, the foundation has a long term plan for the next 5 years and I am hopeful we can harness the goodwill already shown and build on it.
