Update on the Green Industrial Revolution

One year ago, The Prime Minister set out his ambitious and far reaching 10 point plan 📜 for a Green Industrial Revolution which will create and support up to 250,000 British 🇬🇧 jobs.

I am delighted to be able to update you on the progress of this plan:

- The UK Government recently revealed the auction criteria for the upcoming Contracts for Difference (CfD) auction round. This is the Government's main mechanism for supporting low-carbon electricity generation. The auction will be the largest ever renewable energy auction in the world 🌎 and could see more than 1️⃣2️⃣GW of new renewable capacity added. This will cement our place as a global leader in offshore wind.

- The UK will also install 40GW of offshore wind by 2030. Currently we have capacity for 10GW and by boosting this to 40GW this could support up to 60,000 jobs by 2030.

Michelle calls for improvements at Melksham Oak

Many parents have raised concerns with me about the changes at Melksham Oak school. I met with the school as soon as the problems were first raised. I have been underwhelmed with the improvements made since my original meeting. When the recent changes happened I requested another urgent meeting w
