I am delighted to announce the winners of my short story competition to mark 25 years of World Book Day.
I received so many amazing creative stories and it has been really difficult to only pick three. Massive
congratulations
to all who entered - I will be sending a certificate to each of the entrants. In fact I have decided to name two winners in joint first place and they are:
In joint 1st place is Isabella Thomas from FOSPA - Friends of St. Peters C of E Academy, Chippenham who wrote The Clownfish - an amazing read plus she did some wonderful illustrations to accompany it!
Also in joint 1st place is Faye Jessop from Heywood Prep in Corsham who wrote a wonderful tale called Mighty Mountains - her imagination really struck me!
And in 2ndplace is Isabella Honey from Redland Primary School in Chippenham who wrote The Pixies which was incredible - could end up being made into a short film one day!
I hope everyone has enjoyed World Book Day today and I look forward to meeting with the winners to present them with their awards soon! I have been really impressed with the quality and the imagination in the stories and I would like to thank everyone who took part.
