Amazing news!! After years of detention by the Iranian Government, British Nationals Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe and Anoosheh Ashoori have been released from prison and are now on there way back home to their families in the UK. Morad Tahbaz has also been released from prison on furlough.
Nazanin has been held in Iran for almost six years, Anoosheh almost five, and Morad has been in prison for four years. This outcome was only possible thanks to the intensive efforts of the Foreign Secretary and our first-class diplomatic officials. I cannot imagine how horrendous this has been for Nazanin, Anoosheh and Morad and their families and I have the deepest admiration for the resolve, courage, and determination, they have shown.
