More funding for our roads: delivered I have been continuing to push for additional investment to improve our roads, and we have now secured an extra £5.2 million of funding from the government for Wiltshire.
This funding will be used by Our Wiltshire to continue delivering immediate improvements for our roads, on top of the £81 million already allocated to the county for the next decade.
This is part of our record £8.3 billion long-term investment to resurface over 5,000 miles of road across the country over the next decade.
It is estimated by the RAC that well-maintained road surfaces could save drivers up to £440 each in repairs and this record investment will help hard-working motorists keep more of their own money.
