and handing out prizes 
at My Science Fair held at the Wiltshire Music Centre

to all of the team involved in making this years event extra special! It was great to see so many enthusiastic and budding young scientists 
in our area. The future is clearly bright 
As I told the children at the fair – I really wish I had this amazing opportunity when I was growing up 
. We are witnessing a real culture change 
in our country and we are unlocking 
the talent and removing the stigma of a career in STEM, especially among girls 
.
One of the main reasons I went into politics is to open doors for our young people and I have always championed an education and skills agenda – having previously held my very popular Wiltshire Festival of Engineering 
and two careers’ fairs 
– where I was able to highlight some of the fantastic companies we have locally.
