Encouraging investment in our towns, and making sure that our area gets the funding it deserves, is something which I am continuing to work hard on, and I’ve always been clear that Levelling Up should not mean levelling down other areas. Just some of my work so far
Created and Chaired the Chippenham Town Centre Board, so that when funding is available, we have the best possible chance of succeeding by working together
Led a £5 million Levelling Up Fund bid to secure funding for Melksham House - if successful this would free up investment for other areas of Melksham
Secured £3.3 million of investment for the brand new Business Cyber Centre in Chippenham
Secured Government funding for upgrading the A350 and delivering a slip road at Bumpers Farm
Submitted the bid to reopen the station at Corsham, securing £50k to kickstart the process
Government funding Wiltshire has been allocated so far
Over £25 million from the Town Fund and the Future High Streets Fund, to renew high streets and encourage private investment
£7.8 million through the UK shared prosperity fund
