Joining with 15 other MPs and Crisis

Ahead of the Budget next month, I have joined with 15 other MPs and Crisis, the national charity for homeless people, to urge the Chancellor to fund local projects aimed at helping homeless people into renting.

Too many homeless people are locked out of renting, and I’ve personally heard from constituents who are struggling to afford the upfront costs of renting. It’s time we took action.

The Government has provided billions of pounds to help first time buyers onto the housing ladder. It’s only right they now help the most vulnerable to find a stable, lasting home.
